I miss the days when I was a kid over at Grandma's, when my 'very talented' older cousins would come by for a visit. They would bring their acoustic guitars and banjo. (I still own the hand made dulcimer my cousin made me) They would play for us for hours. I loved it!!! Then there was always someone telling a riddle or a joke ( My Dad), someone doing a magic trick ( my brother) someone*singing with her transistor radio/record player ( yours truly) someone drinking to much- (brother in-law) There was always someone laughing ( Mom & others) . And,always someone cooking and making way to many Deserts and Dishes, opting to stuff us all to overflow! . (Grandma)........This was my 'Family'. Most of them are gone today. but they will never be forgotten. And,though they can't be replaced, I tend to seek out those (Musicians/Bands, Comedians, Artists, and just people who like to laugh) because its familiar,its family and I feel at 'Home'...

@@passadonut it’s a small town so it’s not as busy as arrowhead or big bear. If you’re into just being left alone then it’s a place for you. But if your looking for stuff to do then big bear has more to offer. Arrowhead is a private lake and the str’s have limited access to the lake.
Well… then it sounds like my kind of place . Because I am mainly a loner…always have been . And. When I do hang out with others ..it’s mainly because I want to hear a live band & maybe dance . But , that’s when they all want to “vent” to me and I have to keep saying “ What “? Green Valley Lake ( found it on the map ) sounds like a new adventure for me…but would be even more fun if someone took me there for the day ! Thanks for the tip

Yes her & her husband are the best couple dancers in the High Desert ! They dance every night & run marathons & win & bike ride long distances . They are in great Shape & super energetic for being in there 70’s

I was there! It was my first concert - ever! America and Santana were part of the venue as well. Those days were the BEST!! We were all going crazy on that second level. We were making that thing bouce and were told to stop or concert would end. It was wild! Good, crazy, clean fun. 😁😆😄
We remember looking back and seeing the bleachers bouncing ! We ( my best friend in high school & I )were way up front wearing overalls , right up to the stage & got in the photo of the America Bands Poster of the whole concert scene - that was included in one of there Record Albums . Great memories.
